NAWBO New Orleans will host their second annual gathering of business and professional women to recognize the major economic impact of their contributions in the Greater New Orleans area.

 

The Back Story and Vision…

We have long acknowledged the vital role of business women in wealth creation and the economic growth of the region. Our objective is to raise public awareness of the contributions of women to the local economy.  By creating an alliance of associations dedicated to promoting women business owners and professionals, we can highlight their accomplishments and collaborate on future business issues.

 

Keynote Speaker: Yvette M. Jones, Executive V.P. Tulane University

 

Yvette M. Jones is Executive Vice President for University Relations and Development at Tulane University.  Ms. Jones is Tulane University’s chief advancement and external affairs officer with responsibility for garnering financial support of the university from all philanthropic sources; coordinating and overseeing the university’s relationship with all government agencies, including federal, state, and local entities; and developing a cohesive communications, visual identity, marketing and branding strategy for the university in all forms of media in its outreach to both internal and external constituencies. Ms. Jones is the chief liaison to the Tulane Board and all external advisory boards and councils in developing plans for Tulane’s first campaign to raise more than $1 Billion.  She has served Tulane University in a variety of administrative roles since 1979.  Ms. Jones is an active member of the higher education community and serves on many local boards.
