The Chamber has risen to the task and continued to act not only as a spokesman for business development in the area, but also for the improvement and growth of the Parish. Members have a platform from which they can express opinions with a unified voice regarding community and business issues. The Chamber acts as a “watchdog” protecting the interests of the business community politically and economically.

PAC

The Jefferson Chamber’s PAC, Inc., is a political action committee established as an independent, not-for-profit organization to endorse and support political candidates who, though their acts, have demonstrated interest in the private enterprise system.    Membership is limited to members of the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce.

voterVOICE

voterVOICE is an internet-based tool that allows the Chamber to launch and manage grassroots lobbying campaigns and governmental affairs activities.  The software, through e-mail action alerts and messages to Chamber members, will alert members of current political activities that affect Jefferson Parish and connect them directly with their representatives.

The primary focus of the Chamber is to take the lead voice on behalf of businesses in Jefferson Parish; there are many community members who believe that the private sector will be responsible for rebuilding the area.  With voterVOICE, we will empower our members to become active participants in the political process.
