Mission Statement

Founded in 1997, the Jefferson Chamber has worked to create an ideal place to work and live.

The Chamber’s mission has remained constant – to work for the advancement of the business community; to enhance the economic, civic and cultural environment; and to improve the quality of life in Jefferson Parish.

The Chamber is a private, non-profit membership driven organization.  A Board of Directors sets the Chamber’s policies and directives.

In order to achieve the ambitious goals that the Chamber sets each year, it operates 6 primary committees;  Education, Diplomat, Membership, Special Events, Business Development & Growth and Government.  Within these areas, there are subcommittees and task forces that work to achieve the goals of the organization.

The staff manages the day-to-day affairs of the organization.

The Jefferson Chamber, with approximately 1000 members, is the premier business organization in the area.  We work on behalf of our members to help their businesses grow, implement relevant and informative programming and provide opportunities to build relationships with other businesses in the community.
