LAWORKS Small Business Employee Training Program (SBET)
The IWTP Small Business Employee Training Program (SBET) is designed to benefit business and industry by assisting in the skill development of existing employees through individual, standardized (off-the shelf) training. Employers are reimbursed for tuition and required textbooks and manuals once the training has been completed and proper documentation has been submitted to the Lousiana Workforce Commission (LWC). Training costs cannot exceed $3,000 per trainee per state fiscal year (July 1 – June 30). Funding is provided through the Workforce Development Training Account, at 2.3% of all IWTP funds available.

Goldman-Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Initiative at Delgado Community College
The 10,000 Small Businesses program is designed to give local small business owners across the greater New Orleans area resources to grow. The program seeks to unlock the growth and job-creation potential of 10,000 small businesses across the United States through greater access to business education, nancial capital, and business support services. Participants in the program gain practical business knowledge and skills that can be put to work immediately such as contract negotiation, marketing, accounting and people management.

Target Applicant: Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses is designed for business owners who operate a business that is poised for growth. Applicants must be the owner or co‐owner of a business that generally meets the following criteria:
-Business in operation for at least two years
-Business revenues between $150,000 and $4.0 million in the most recent fiscal year
-Business with a minimum of 4 employees
-The potential and desire to grow and create jobs in the community

The Department of Workforce Connection is the administrative entity of the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. This is a one-stop destination for employers and job seekers in Jefferson Parish and provides multiple programs to help its members successfully obtain their workforce needs of the 21st century.
Jumpstart Jefferson Emergency Recovery Program
The Jumpstart Jefferson re-entry application process is where you register your business to apply for re-entry status and receive your credentials. Business owners should register for re-entry ASAP to ensure they have their credentials prior to any type of evacuation. The Business Continuity Network is designed as a main point of contact for businesses and clients in the event of an evacuation. Business owners can signup and create profiles with their business and contact information. Clients can signup and contact the business owners directly through the website.

LA Small Business Development Center
The Louisiana Small Business Development Center (LSBDC Network) provides low- or no-cost guidance and training for small business owners and potential owners. Part of a statewide network supported by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), Louisiana Economic Development and the host universities, the LSBDC serves Louisiana businesses through confidential counseling, group training, and business information resources.

Assistance to businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals through the Minority Enterprise Development Program.
