Description: Experience the thrill of racing just inches off the ground at the largest karting track in the U.S. Located in Avondale, Nola Motorsports Park is a 750 acre, multi-million dollar racing facility and home to one of our latest team-building events! Tour de Jefferson

Description: This is the largest community event organized by the Chamber. This family biking adventure brings riders from around the country to the West Bank of Jefferson Parish each year! As a participant you can experience the scenery and wonder of Louisiana’s heartland wrapped up with an unforgettable Fin du Tour party. The goal of this ride is to continually enhance the awareness of quality of life amenities, recreational venues and the Bicycle Master Plan in Jefferson Parish.

Day at the Legislature

Average Attendance: 30 maximum
Description: Join leaders of the Jefferson Chamber on a trip to the State Capitol to meet with Jefferson Parish’s Legislative Delegation and Parish officials. The day includes a legislative briefing and lunch with the legislative delegation and an opportunity to learn about the legislative process and receive information on the status of key legislation critical to Jefferson Parish and the business community.

Washington, D.C. Mardi Gras

Average Attendance: Thousands of individuals attend Washington Mardi Gras.
Description: The Jefferson Chamber holds three major events at the Washington Hilton Hotel during Washington Mardi Gras. Members of the Louisiana Congressional Delegation are invited as special guests. These events are incredible networking opportunities for our business men and women.

Washington, D.C. Fly-In Conference

Description: The Chamber, business leaders, and local elected officials fly to the nation’s capital for meetings with the Louisiana Congressional Delegation, key departmental staff and representatives of the U.S. Chamber to discuss and promote the Chamber’s federal legislative agenda.

State of Jefferson Address

Description: Selling-out since its creation, this premier business luncheon features the latest information on Jefferson Parish activities and developments delivered by the Jefferson Parish President and Council Chairman. In attendance each year is a “who’s who” roster of local leaders.

Prosper Jefferson Seminar Series

Business Leadership Awards Luncheon
Description: In recognition of the business community’s contribution to the American economy and society, the President of the United States designates one week each year as National Small Business Week. Leading up to National Small Business Week 2014, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), in conjunction with the Chamber, hosts this special event to honor and present awards to local entrepreneurs and those who support and champion small business.
LABI Legislative Issues Luncheon
Description: Each year, the President & CEO of the Louisiana Association of Business & Industry (LABI) presents legislation that they will support during the upcoming legislative session. As the state’s chamber of commerce, LABI represents a wide variety of business owners throughout the state. Jefferson Parish’s legislative delegation is invited to attend the luncheon.

Board of Directors Planning Retreat

Description: This day-long retreat brings together community leaders and decision makers to determine organizational goals for the upcoming year.

Description: Through an eight-month training process, Leadership Jefferson provides individuals with a clearer understanding of the total community and the dynamics of social and economic change. Leadership skills training, lectures and discussions are all part of a comprehensive curriculum designed to enhance professional and volunteer careers. The program includes an opening & closing retreat and eight individual sessions (one session per month) on a variety of topics. Sponsors contribute to the success of the program and gain exposure to emerging and existing leaders.

Business & Breakfast
Dates: 10 events annually

Description: The Business & Breakfast event is a targeted networking and contact-building breakfast that is designed to give attendees an opportunity to meet and share their business with fellow Chamber members.
Typically held on the second Friday of each month from 7:50 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., attendees are invited to network at a table of eight for two 20 minute sessions. With an average attendance of almost 60, this event is a great way for members to get involved with the Chamber and meet fellow members.

Business Card Exchange
Dates: Every Other Month in 2015 for a total of 6/year

Description: Networking is the focus in this fun after-hours event! The Business Card Exchange is one of the most popular business networking events in the area. Each event is set up to make it comfortable to meet new clients, catch up with old friends and walk out with new business.

Young Professionals Social
Projected Date: Every Month of the Year (12 total)

Description: The Young Professionals social is an after work event that provides a casual environment for people in their 20’s and 30’s to socialize and learn about opportunities for their businesses or themselves. The events are held on the third Wednesday of every month. Each event is different. Chamber members are free, guests may attend up to three times before being charged. This is an important place for your company’s Young Professionals to build relationships and build their careers.
