METAIRIE, LA – The voice of the Saints meets the voice of business! The Jefferson Chamber will honor Jim Henderson with a toast at its Gala Royale on Friday, March 9. The toast will take place on the 50-yard line of the Ochsner Sports Performance Center (on the turf of the Saints Training Field) on Airline Drive.
For the past 30 years, Henderson has brought to life play after play during radio broadcasts of Saints games. He announced his retirement in February.
A special salute to Henderson will be led by the Saints longest tenured employee, Jay Romig, and former Saints employee and current Jefferson Chamber Chairman, Nick Karl of Peoples Health. The special salute and toast will begin at 7:45 p.m.
The Gala Royale, presented by Ochsner Health System, will feature an open bar, heavy hors d’oeuvres, silent auction, punch wall, dancing and live musical entertainment by The Bag of Donuts.
Individual tickets are $125 and VIP tickets are $200. A VIP Party will kick off the evening at 6:30 p.m. The doors to the Gala will open at 7:30 p.m. and the celebration will continue until 11 p.m. Online ticket sales will close at 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6. This event is an opportunity to socialize with Jefferson Parish’s top business leaders, community activists and elected officials. The event is open to both members and non-members of the Jefferson Chamber. All proceeds from the Gala Royale assist the Jefferson Chamber in supporting the many initiatives that it sponsors in the community, including economic, business and leadership development and education-related programs. Revenue from this event also enhances the Chamber’s capabilities to promote and support a pro-business legislative agenda.
