METAIRIE, LA – Bring out your dancing shoes! The Bag of Donuts will be performing at the Jefferson Chamber’s Gala Royale on March 9, and they are sure to get you on your feet!
Celebrating their 30th anniversary this year, the Bag of Donuts’ momentum only seems to be building. For the past two years, the Bag of Donuts have received Offbeat Magazine’s “Cover Band of the Year” award, in addition to the release of a music video with Dr. John, performances at French Quarter Fest and Gleason Gras, and receiving the “Best of the Beat” award in 2016.
Along with their flair for make-up and extravagant costumes, the four New Orleans natives cover songs popular from any era, making for a fun time for all ages. The band even added a two piece horn section last year.
In addition to the musical performance, the Gala Royale, presented by Ochsner Health System, will also feature an open bar, heavy hors d’oeuvres, silent auction, punch wall, photo booth and more!
This event is an opportunity to socialize with Jefferson Parish’s top business leaders, community activists and elected officials. The event is open to both members and non-members of the Jefferson Chamber. All proceeds from the Gala Royale assist the Jefferson Chamber in supporting the many initiatives that it sponsors in the community, including economic, business and leadership development and education-related programs. Revenue from this event also enhances the Chamber’s capabilities to promote and support a pro-business legislative agenda.
A VIP Party will kick off the evening at 6:30 p.m. The doors to the Gala will open at 7:30 p.m. and the celebration will continue until 11 p.m. Tickets can be purchased on the Chamber’s website, www.jeffersonchamber.org. Early Bird tickets are $100 until February 23. Corporate packages and sponsorship opportunities are also available.
