Metairie, La – The Jefferson Chamber of Commerce along with several other representatives from local business groups will hold a press conference today at 10:00 a.m. to address the need to keep tolls on the Crescent City Connection Bridge in New Orleans. The group says a loss of $22 million in annual toll revenue along with state budget cuts will drastically affect the future of bridge maintenance and transportation improvements.
Several of the those in attendance represent: Jefferson Business Council, Algiers Economic Development Foundation, Plaquemines Association of Business and Industry, Business Council of New Orleans & the River Region and Mayor Ronnie Harris, City of Gretna.
