Connecting Local Donors to Local Charities: Serving Local Needs
We’re excited to announce that the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce is becoming a Chamber for Good!
As you all know, we take our role of being a community building organization very seriously and with the launch of our Chamber for Good system we will be taking things to an even higher level of community engagement.
The Chamber for Good system leverages the strength and credibility of our chamber to shine a bright light on the great charities and causes that labor away on behalf of our fellow community members.
All 501(c)(3) organizations that are based in (or have extensive activities within) our community are eligible to have a profile on Chamber for Good and will have the ability to post financial, volunteer and item needs.
Additionally, residents will now have a central location where they can browse the needs of local charities. Residents can also make item or volunteer “offers”. Chamber for Good makes it easy to GIVE LOCAL and build up those causes that make such an impact in our own community.
We ask for your support as we launch this new program by helping to spread the word throughout the community. As the visibility of our Chamber for Good program increases so will the credibility of, and goodwill toward, our chamber of commerce, making your membership even more valuable.
For now, this is what we need you to do:
- Go to our community’s Chamber for Good website by clicking here > www.chamberforgood.com/jefferson
- Once there, please scroll to the bottom of the page and enter your email address.
- Each Monday you will receive a single automated email listing the item and volunteer needs of local charities.
- From that email you may choose to respond to one of the needs, but even if you don’t, we hope that you will at least be willing to review the needs and see what our community stands in need of.
There is no obligation of any kind, just a willingness to be made aware of the needs that exist in our community.
Please help us spread the word and advance the great cause of building our community by supporting those charities and causes that do so much for those in our area with the greatest needs!
