The Jefferson Chamber Young Professionals have a challenge for our local design creatives! On November 15th, 2014, we’re taking over 18th Street to throw an event of epic proportions; the first-ever Fat City Festival. We’re talking live music, delicious eats, and a showcasing of some of the parish’s amazing businesses. It’s a celebration of Jefferson Parish culture in the community’s most up-and-coming area.
A shindig this splendid needs an image to match the vision. We’re on a search for the perfect Fat City Fest logo and we need your help to bring it to life. If you’re a design creative with a passion for Jefferson Parish and the Fat City community, this logo contest is for you!
Send us designs that creatively highlight the spirit of Jefferson Parish and the Fat City revitalization. Designs must meet the below specifications.
- Minimum Size: 300 dpi – 10 x 10 inches
- Maximum of three pantone colors or four color process. If your design is chosen, the colors will need to be provided in RGB.
- Please submit the design as an outlined PDF. If your design is chosen, you will need to provide us with an outlined EPS.
An internal panel of judges will review all of the submissions. They’ll choose five designs to move on to the second round of the contest.
The second round is all about community. The chosen five will be posted on the Jefferson Chamber Young Professional’s Facebook Page, where the masses will be able to vote (via “likes”) for their favorite Fat City Fest artwork. The design with the most “likes” will win. In the event of a tie, our team of judges will come on back to make the tough final decision.
The winning design will become the official logo for the Fat City Festival! Of course, the designer will get some props, too. The winner will be recognized in a press release when we unveil the design to the public and we’ll be sure to show that person some serious love at the festival in November.
All design entries will become the property of the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce. The Jefferson Chamber of Commerce shall have the right to publicize, display, or authorize the reproduction of any and all submissions, giving proper credit to the designers in each case.
