For years now however, the Louisiana coastline has been disappearing at an alarming rate. With every mile of land lost, we lose more history, tradition, culture, and protection for our communities.
We have got to come together as a community to fight for coastal restoration and hurricane protection, to protect our way of life for generations to come. Recently, we have been working on the Mississippi River sediment pipeline which is diverting thousands of tons of sand to rebuild wetlands in lower Jefferson Parish.
This video shows the benefit of projects like this and how much they are needed for our Parish, our State and for our Country.
