METAIRIE, LA – The Jefferson Chamber of Commerce has announced its Legislative Agenda for the 2018 Louisiana State Legislative Session being held March 12 through June 4. The goal of the agenda is very simple: to promote and protect a pro-business environment in Jefferson Parish.
Highlights from the agenda include:
Healthcare: Oppose efforts that would increase employers’ health care costs and restrict choice in the type of coverage needed
Education and Workforce Development: Support funding for quality early childhood care and education
Budget Reform: Support efforts to increase fiscal transparency of state and local government operations
Flood Insurance: Support the efforts and positions of the Coalition for Sustainable Flood Insurance (CSFI)
