METAIRIE, La. – The Jefferson Chamber of Commerce commemorated its 25th anniversary of advocating, educating, and connecting the Greater New Orleans region at its “Sterling Moments” Gala, presented by OnPath Federal Credit Union, on Friday, November 18.
Approximately 300 guests gathered at the Jefferson Performing Arts Center for the celebration, including prominent business leaders, Jefferson Chamber leadership, elected officials and key decision makers in the community. Chamber President Ruth Lawson commenced the night’s festivities with a champagne toast following a speech delivered to all attendees and event sponsors.
Guests enjoyed a variety of interactive experiences, including a storyboard gallery in the venue’s auditorium featuring videos by Chamber leadership and a timeline illustration of significant milestones throughout the Chamber’s history. A six-piece band provided by Jazzman Entertainment played music throughout the evening, while cigar-rolling demonstrations were led by Cigar Factory alongside a specialty bourbon tasting station provided by Angel’s Envy.
Additionally, attendees took the opportunity to capture memories from the evening as The Pixure Booth snapped black and white photographs.
Fare included heavy hors d’oeuvres and a carving station provided by Pigeon Catering, to complement chargrilled oysters prepared on site by Drago’s Seafood and fresh sushi rolls served by chefs from Rock-N-Sake Bar & Sushi.
Proceeds from the event support the business organization’s efforts in public policy advocacy and quality of life initiatives.
