METAIRIE, La. – Registration for the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce’s annual bicycle ride through Jefferson Parish is open now. Whether you’re an experienced rider or enjoy leisurely family bike rides, Tour De Jefferson, presented by Laitram, has something for you.
Riders for the 17th annual event will meet Sunday, November 12 at the Estelle Playground (5801 Leo Kerner, Lafitte Parkway, Marrero) for kick-off at 8 a.m.
Participants can choose between four different cycling routes at distances of 11 miles, 19.7 miles, 31 miles and 50 miles. This event is a social ride for cycling enthusiasts of all experience levels through Jefferson Parish.
“We are thrilled to offer the community a fun, safe and family-friendly bike ride through the scenery of Jefferson Parish,” said Ruth Lawson, Jefferson Chamber President. “It’s a great way to get outdoors during the Fall and a unique way to experience the scenery of Louisiana’s heartland!”
The goal of this ride is to enhance the awareness of what Jefferson Parish has to offer. Proceeds from this event will help fund the Jefferson Chamber’s efforts in advocacy and quality of life initiatives.
