KENNER, La. – The Jefferson Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual State of Jefferson luncheon, presented by IBERIABANK/First Horizon, on Wednesday, November 17 at Chateau Golf & Country Club. The luncheon served as an opportunity for the Chamber’s members to be updated on the progress of the parish over the last year.
The panel included Jefferson Parish President Cynthia Lee Sheng, Jefferson Parish Councilman-at-Large for Division B, Scott Walker, and Jefferson Parish Public School System Superintendent, Dr. James Gray. Each panelist answered questions regarding their role in the parish and evaluated progress, performance, and future planning initiatives.
Cynthia Lee Sheng awarded Joseph R. Denny Jr., Administrative Management Specialist IV of the Community Justice Agency, the Joseph S. Yenni Award, which is presented annually to the outstanding parish employee of the year.
Proceeds from the event support the Jefferson Chamber’s efforts in pro-business advocacy and quality of life initiatives.
