Today, the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committee endorsed Senator David Vitter in the Louisiana gubernatorial election. This is the first time in its existence that the PAC made an endorsement in a Louisiana governor’s race. The PAC, as the voice of business, considers the need to speak out now imperative in this election.
Since its inception, the PAC has championed candidates who are pro-business and pro-jobs for a stronger Louisiana. They have supported bills to tackle lawsuit reform and insurance costs. Further, they are currently defining a plan for immediate budget and long-term fiscal reforms.
The Jefferson Chamber PAC firmly believes Vitter is most aligned with their pro-business values to lead these initiatives and Louisiana forward. We ask the voters of Jefferson Parish to look at the records of both candidates and make a pro-business choice for Louisiana.
