So, we are here to help better the wellness in your life with these five amazing healthy morning habits!
In today’s world, who doesn’t have a hectic or chaotic morning? Always trying to get everything done at once so you can get out the door as soon as possible. Well, these five tips will make sure that your morning sets a relaxing tone for the rest of your day.
Tip #1: Don’t Skip Breakfast!
As we’ve all been told, breakfast is the most important meal of the day… and it’s true! Breakfast is more commonly than not forgotten and disregarded, but it is actually a staple in starting off your day right. By skipping breakfast, you are beginning your day feeling dragged down and less energized. Whereas, eating a good breakfast full of protein can actually help you feel more energized. The Chamber offers monthly Business & Breakfast events. Come start off your morning with us eating a hearty breakfast while meeting fellow Chamber members!
Tip #2: Limit Morning Caffeine!
Now, we know everybody loves morning coffee, and some of us can’t go a day without it. Although this boost of caffeine has you feeling energized, it will never last long. Majority of the time, morning coffee can make us feel more drowsy throughout the day, and will make us less productive. Drinking a morning tea instead of coffee allows you to get that morning boost, causes less drowsiness, and adds antioxidants!
Tip #3: Get Moving!
After working out in the morning, most people feel so accomplished. The win of crossing exercise off your “to-do list” is a feeling of relief, plus now you can’t talk yourself out of some daily exercise. By exercising in the morning, you are giving your body a natural boost, and allowing yourself to start the day feeling proficient and energized!
Tip #4: Take It Easy!
You don’t have to jump right out of bed and start rushing through your house. Instead, wake up earlier so you don’t have a need to rush. Let some natural light in instead of turning on all of the lights. Make a strong effort to not touch any electronics until you absolutely have to. Take a deep breath, and maybe even try morning meditation or yoga!
Tip #5: Plan Your Day Effectively!
By planning out your day, you have a greater chance of increasing your own productivity and allowing for some “me-time” at the end of the day. Prioritize your tasks and chores to fit a time schedule so they are made easier to achieve and accomplish. Do home chores, like cleaning and laundry around the evening time. Run your errands on the weekends or days that you have less work. Completing errands in the middle of a work day becomes very stressful, and you are more likely to forget something that you need.
The morning can sometimes be the most stressful time of day. Whether you are rushing to get ready, trying to head out the door, or worrying about all the things that need to be done, altering your morning routine could lead to morning becoming your favorite time of the day!
