METAIRIE, LA – The Jefferson Chamber will host the 13th Annual Tour de Jefferson, presented by Laitram, on Sunday, October 20 at Parc des Familles with a new route along the West Bank. This is the first year since 2016 that the ride will be held on the West Bank of Jefferson Parish, and the first time the ride will begin at Parc des Familles.
The ride will start in Parc des Familles at 7 a.m. and will offer riders 62 (100K), 31, and 15 mile routes to choose from. The new routes include riding along Lapalco, Nicolle and Barataria Blvds. Scenic rest stops will be available along the routes equipped with energizing snacks and drinks. View the turn-by-turn directions HERE.
The ride will finish in Parc des Familles, where riders will enjoy food, drinks, live music by Sweet Crude and fun at the LiveWell Fin du Tour party, which is free and open to the public from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
A general admission rider is $50 through October 18 at 5 p.m. and includes a t-shirt, finisher medal, refreshments, beer and fun at the LiveWell Fin du Tour Party. A VIP rider is $125 through October 18 at 5 p.m. and offers front of the line starting position and private catered lunch in addition to the perks of a general admission rider. Registration is also available the day of the event for an increased cost.
The ride is produced by Premier Event Management, an industry leading endurance sports production company specializing in running, triathlon, and cycling events. The goal of this social biking adventure is to continually enhance the awareness of quality-of-life amenities, recreational venues, and the Bicycle Master Plan in Jefferson Parish.
