METAIRIE, LA – The Jefferson Chamber of Commerce will host its Annual Meeting on Friday, February 2, 2018. As one of the largest networking and social events of the year, the Annual Meeting serves as an opportunity to celebrate the many accomplishments from the past year and announce exciting plans for initiatives, events and advocacy in 2018. Linda Rutherford, Vice President, Chief Communications Officer of Southwest Airlines, will address more than 400 business, community and civic leaders at the event.
Linda has skillfully championed Southwest’s Communication and Outreach efforts for the past 25 years. Today, she works with the Southwest Corporate Services Leadership team to ensure Southwest has the best processes, policies, and tools to serve the airline’s growing and diverse workforce. As the new Armstrong International is underway for 2019, we look forward to hearing from Linda about Southwest’s corporate culture and communication strategy, their plans for the new airport terminal and the importance of Southwest Airlines to the airport and the Greater New Orleans region.
The Chamber will also present the Ambassador of the Year Award, Board Member of the Year Award, President’s Award and Chairman’s Award.
The Chamber will recognize the change in leadership from 2017 Board Chairman, Fred Preis of Breazeale Sachse & Wilson LLP to 2018 Board Chairman, Nick Karl of Peoples of Health.
Networking begins at 8 a.m. followed by the program and breakfast from 9 to 11 a.m. Individual member tickets are $75 and non-member tickets are $125.
