On Tuesday, June 13, Young Professionals heard from Jefferson Parish Schools Superintendent Dr. James Gray who spoke about the challenges and successes of education in Jefferson Parish. The event was held at the STEM Library Lab in Metairie.

Crawfish Boil

On Friday, May 19, many Young Professionals volunteered and enjoyed the festivities at the Jefferson Chamber’s 25th Annual Crawfish Boil. The event featured over 700 guests, as YPs connected with small and large business professionals, community leaders, and elected officials over crawfish, cold beverages, music and a variety of other outdoor entertainment activities.

Young Professionals Networking Night

JCYP members had a great time connecting and socializing with fellow YPs from across the region at Young Professionals Networking Night at Urban South Brewery in New Orleans on Thursday, May 11. The collaborative event was put together by JCYP, the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Louisiana Young Professionals, JNOLA, the Young Leadership Council (YLC), & Young Leaders United.

Ballpark Social

YPs enjoyed a pre-game tailgate and great seats during our social at the New Orleans Privateers baseball game against crosstown rival Tulane University on Tuesday, April 18 at Maestri Field.

Coffee & Community

JEDCO President & CEO Jerry Bologna spoke to our Young Professionals about impact on our region through economic and business development and answered their questions at a Coffee & Community event at the Jefferson Chamber on Thursday, April 13.

Black & Gold Gala

On Friday, March 31, many JCYP members attended the Jefferson Chamber’s annual Black & Gold Gala at the Ochsner Sports Performance Center, home of the New Orleans Saints indoor practice field.

Eats & EDU

On Wednesday, March 15, Young Professionals gathered at Austin’s Seafood & Steakhouse in Metairie for their first Eats & Edu., of the year. WGNO meteorologist Brooke Laizer delivered a presentation on business etiquette while sharing tips and advice about how to conduct yourself in the workplace, public speaking, appearance, email etiquette, and more.
