Football (well, sort of): I know you have heard of the Brees Dream Foundation. Did you know that they conducted a Super Service Challenge and the winning foundations will receive up to $25,000? The Chamber Foundation entered the challenge and needs your vote! Public voting is now open and will close on January 18, 2013 at 5pm. Hardball (without a doubt): Last Friday, Harrah’s and Manning’s hosted our board retreat for the incoming 2013 board of directors. It was an amazing turnout with over 60 people in attendance. Among the items discussed were fine-tuning our strategic plan and efforts to increase membership and improve communication. The debate was strong, but constructive. With 24 new board members, there were fresh ideas and new perspective combined with practical feedback from our veterans. I look forward to working with each of our board members in the coming year to build Relationships and increase Relevancy, Resulting in a stronger Chamber!
