About the LiveWell Jefferson Campaign:
LiveWell Jefferson was formed in early 2017 as a new initiative of the Jefferson Chamber’s Foundation focused on creating and cultivating a culture of health and wellness among the business community and residents of Jefferson Parish. Through educating employers on the importance and implementation of health and wellness programs, the LiveWell Jefferson campaign strives to produce more productive employees, help attract and retain talent, build staff morale, combat employee absenteeism, minimize staff turnover and reduce healthcare costs for employers.
About the Jefferson Chamber & the Jefferson Chamber Foundation:
The Jefferson Chamber is a leading voice for Jefferson Parish’s business community. As a non-profit, membership-driven organization, the Chamber is an effective advocate for small and large businesses at the local, state and federal levels. The Chamber’s mission is to work for the advancement of the business community; to enhance the economic, civic and cultural environment; and to improve the quality of life in Jefferson Parish. The Jefferson Chamber is Five-Star Accredited by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and was awarded the 2013, 2015, and 2019 Chamber of the Year Award by the Louisiana Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives in the Large Chamber Category.
Our Foundation, a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization, began in 2007. This Foundation has been the backbone of the workforce development grants that were a catalyst in the rebuilding after Katrina. The Foundation is also the original namesake and founder of the JCFA, a now autonomous high school that gives Jefferson Parish students a second chance at graduation. In recent years, the Chamber Foundation has become a catalyst for beautification throughout what is known as “Fat City.”
